Child protection and drug use
Example outline...
Duration
Two days.
Whilst it is possible to run this course over one day, for example, with participants who do not have substantial contact with parents/carers, feedback has suggested that previous participants have found the contact between C&F workers and Adult Care workers extremely useful in building bridges between services and making personal contacts with those working in a local context.
Who the course is for
Voluntary and statutory sector staff who work with children and families (C&F).
This course concentrates on parental drug use and its impact on children, commonly termed 'hidden harm'.
Aim
To help enable participants to assess the impact of parental/carer' substance use on children in their care.
