Our courses are underpinned by DANOS (Drug and Alcohol National Occupational Standards)
The Drug and Alcohol National Occupational Standards (DANOS) are the basis of our drug training courses. We use DANOS to provide guidance on teaching and learning outcomes on all our drug courses. This provides participants with relevant knowledge, skills and ability as practitioners to work in an informed manner. Our training and development courses support roles such as:
- Drug and Alcohol Project Workers
- Arrest Referral Workers
- Key Workers
- Youth Workers
- Residential Support Workers
- Teachers
- Social Workers.
- Bar managers and licensees
"The Drug and Alcohol National Occupational Standards (DANOS), launched in May 2002, are relevant to everyone who is working to improve the quality of life for individuals and communities by minimising harm associated with substance misuse. The development of DANOS was led by Skills for Health in close partnership with the Sector Skills Councils for Justice, Social Care, Housing, Employment, Education and Young People."
